Meet The Founder

Tomeka Winston

Tomeka Winston's journey traces back to her roots in Columbus, Ohio, where she was raised among six caring siblings. After graduating in 1995, Tomeka embarked on a remarkable career path that led her beyond the borders of her hometown. In 2011, she followed her aspirations and became a Traveling Medical Tech, traversing the nation to support hospitals and clinics facing staffing shortages.

It was during an assignment in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2023, that Tomeka discovered a profound connection to the city and state, ultimately choosing to make it her permanent home. Driven by an innate passion for aiding others and a deep-seated belief in the power of community, Tomeka recognized a larger purpose unfolding in her life's narrative.

With unwavering determination, she set out to establish sober living homes, driven by a heartfelt commitment to assist individuals in overcoming life's adversities. Tomeka's vision embodies a desire to leave an indelible mark on the lives of others, fulfilling unmet needs within the surrounding community and fostering a culture of compassion and support.

Tomeka's Why embodies a deeply personal journey rooted in the memory of her beloved sister, Nicole Denise Winston, whose tragic passing on November 28, 2022, underscored the devastating impact of alcohol abuse. Motivated by the loss of Nicole and fueled by a desire to prevent others from succumbing to similar struggles, Tomeka embarked on a mission to establish sober living homes.

Recognizing the urgent need to combat the pervasive epidemic of substance abuse, Tomeka envisioned these homes as sanctuaries where individuals could escape from harmful environments and embrace a supportive, stable community dedicated to recovery. In honoring Nicole's legacy of compassion and resilience, Tomeka strives to create spaces where residents feel safe, empowered, and surrounded by peers who understand their journey.

Through these efforts, Tomeka seeks to break the cycle of addiction and offer hope for a brighter, healthier future, ensuring that Nicole's memory continues to inspire and uplift those in need.
